Since a couple of people asked, icon colouring guiiide. I'm using Photoshop CS3, though PSP should be the same way. I reference a lot of tools that are explained in Aviy's guide.

How did you color Asta's red streak in those two icons you colored for me? Because I've been coloring it in, and then playing with opacity, but I'm not terribly keen on how that turns out.

With Asta's streak the original scan was so dark that I went through with the dodge tool (o-or the eraser at a low opacity) on the image to make the inside pixels a little lighter gray. And then I used a dark to medium red on OVERLAY over the base image. I-I hope that helps.

OMG YES THAT HELPS SO MUCH.

It does also takes a little messing around, but I think it's because overlay will go over the black/gray better than trying to put it under it. GOOD LUCK. ♥ ♥
