Ah well, I knew it was just a matter of time.

I know I shouldn't be disappointed, but I still am. I auditioned, put my heart into the audition, tried my hardest, and I still got passed over for a bunch of upcoming freshmen. I know I suck, I know I can't act, can't sing, can't do anything in terms of musical theatre. I should have never tried. I won't ever to be able to swim, I just always sink ( Read more... )

I do need to switch my fine art though. There's plenty of fine arts I can do without needing to speak, so they can't tell me "Oh, you don't have all your graduation requirements, so you have to make it up this year", barring me from taking classes I want to take.

That just means that they aren't going to keep anyone from doing the show. It probably means I'm going to be tech, and maybe set design. It'll be different, but it's probably may last show anyway.

Kat, wake the fuck up! You do musicals becasue you like singing and being a part of theatrical productions. U didn't get the part, but that doesn't mean you suck. Sometimes talent is overlooked. Even the best swimmers once sank, they just learned to swim before they drowened. If not being in the musical is truly what you want to do, then go for it dammit. I feel the same way every fucking year when i run for student council and shit like that. I know it's a popularity contest and that i probably won't win but i do it anyway because it's really what i want to do. I have that little voice in me too and i've had to hold back tears a couple times because i've lost. But don't you give up totally becasue if you do, you'll regret it. You don't pursue a hobby or a fine art because you're good at it, you do it because you like it and it can relieve the tensions of your day. If drama and choir don't do that for you anymore, by all means quit but don't give up because you didn't get one part. As for you dieing being something as mind-blowingly ( ... )
