So, early yesterday evening I Stumbled upon this delightful compilation of "Twilight" mockery and critique (man but I have trained my stumble button well). For those blessedly sadly ignorant of the "Twilight" craze, it's a pretty fun introdruction; for those already initiated, it might have a couple you haven't seen before.

Of course, in my perusal ( Read more... )

From the how-to on writing a best-selling series just like Meyers:

Your hero should be brooding, pseudo-dangerous, and have a deep, dark secret to cement his status as a sexy ‘bad boy’. Additionally, he must be extremely wealthy, drive fast cars, and enjoy watching the heroine sleep unawares.

HAHA THAT'S ANGEL.

Yeah - you should go on fandom wank and find the part where people try to say how original Twilight is for having vampires that don't eat people and fall in love with human girls.

So this Formerly Nice Guy lacks grammar and writing skills. No wonder he never gets laid. Doesn’t he know that chicks dig a dude with mad grammar skills? They are after me all the time to show me how I cleft a gerund, it makes them fucking swoon, it does.

Hehe!

Aww <3.

I've definitely seen things like it before, but I don't think I'd read that particular one. For all that she says it's just a rant, rather than an essay, it's a very well-thought-out and well written one.

Also I have wine glasses now that have not been christened yet. We should fix this while you're in town.
