Who: Naoto (strayblade) and Roxas (dualstance) What: Talking about memories, or lack there of Where: top of the clock tower When: right after this Warnings: tba if any..
The city is truly endless. But it's with some despair that Naoto realizes that she's been there long enough and seen enough of it that she was able to find their meeting place without much trouble. How many months had she been here now, adding memories to the ones that she did have from home. Some of there weren't good...but enough of them were to surprise her, give her this strange new thing called hope.
Talking to him, she recognized enough of herself to share that feeling if she could. People who had been strangers at first had helped her, now she just wanted to do that for someone else.
"Roxas?"
Her steps slowed as she approached, sliding the long black case from her shoulder and holding the strap in her hand.
"Sorry it took me so long. My dog...ate one of my shoes."
She winced. The most pathetic thing about it was that she wasn't lying.
He would have laughed at what she said, it was the oldest excuse in the book and who knows how many times he heard it from Hayner, despite the other blond not even owning a dog. But this was the first time meeting with Naoto and he didn't want to embarrass her anything like that. So he just settled for smiling in amusement. After all, that kind of thing does happen, right
( ... )
"We can do that?" Naoto looked up at the clock tower, curious but not afraid. She shook her head, even offered a gentle smile to set his mind at ease when she answered. "I'm not afraid. Lead the way."
Not that heights were something she was exactly used to. Even the highest point in the underground was still...well, underground.
"Is this a place from your home?" Naoto looks up as they begin the climb. After years of training, a few stairs won't be enough to bother her either.
"Yeah surprisingly. I didn't expect it to be here."
There were a lot of things he didn't expect, most a lot more unpleasant than others but at least he can count this one to be one of the more pleasant surprises. The clock tower gave him comfort, a sense of belonging somewhere even if it was just a meeting place between friends. But those were the best memories he had, nothing else could really compare to the times when they would just sit there and watch the sunset while eating ice cream.
He'd only hung out with his friends here. Since he was bringing Naoto, did that mean he thought of her as a friend? She was willing to hear his problems, so he supposed so.
"My friends and I used to come up here every day to watch the sunset and eat ice cream. I always looked forward to that time of day."
