Who: Kurosaki Ichigo, and anyone who wanted in on this post What: Faito evaluation, and learning Where: All over Promenade When: Starting during the day Warnings: Violence, and Ichigo's mobile swear word zone.
Ezio knew he would be getting a visit from the young man at some point during the day, but the assassin was rather impatient after hearing what the king had to say about the murders. Surely he had noticed them prior to the announcement, but it was not really his place to openly investigate them. At least he had to pretend like he wasn't getting involved. But he was, oh he was, which was why he was out and about along the rooftops himself, planning on going over the area at least five more times before he seemed pleased.
He used the shadow of his hood to his advantage once again, keeping his mask strapped to his sash and only putting it on when he saw another citizen. Which didn't occur very often when one was lurking on rooftops.
When he saw the boy weaving back and forth through the houses, he couldn't quite contain that sense of hesitance that he felt when he had seen Rukia moving like that. No one should have been able to move so quickly. But he brushed it off--as he had already witnessed stranger things in this equally strange
Sorry, Ezio. That hood, plus being up here, rather than at street level, sort of makes it easier to spot you. Not hugely, and only for someone who's subconsciously looking for any other signs of life up here, but there you go.
Have one orange-haired, loud-mouthed Japanese teenager blurring into view on the edge of your roof. Oh, and waving at you.
If he was trying to hide, he honestly would have done a better job of it. but seeing as he assumed the boy was looking for him--amongst others that had responded to his call--he didn't see much of a reason to. Unless he wanted to toy with him, and at the moment he was all business. So maybe later.
Someone would have to teach this boy something about stealth and being subtle. He apparently knew little about that.
Ezio maintained his distance, folding his arms over his chest and nodding toward Ichigo once he stopped to greet him.
"Salve," he nodded, "Si, I am Ezio. and you would be Ichigo, correct? I see you're still not wearing your mask."
Yeah. Ezio definitely has the upper hand on sneakiness, here. But! Nevertheless, Ichigo is pleased to finally meet him in person. Stepping down from the eave, and sketching a little nod of a bow - old habits die hard - he shrugs, affecting an unconcerned look.
"Yeah, well. The King - Tivorno? He seems pretty pissed at Genero. And if the guy goes through with making Genero give a public apology for scaring the city, I'll think about wearing it, again."
Well, Ichigo has had some great teachers on the subject of stealth, and subtlety, but uh...well, patience isn't exactly his forte. Still, being taught by someone who can blend with a crowd in plain sight would probably help. First, you'll need to get the kid a hat, or something, though.
Well, while Ichigo was hitting the pavement bright and early, Rukia actually made breakfast and ate and showered and made sure her shihakusho was clean and pressed before venturing out into the world. Her practice the other day had gotten her excited for this prospect, whether she'd admit to it or not.
But instead of heading out and finding Ichigo, Rukia vaulted onto the roof of the Kurosaki Clinic and, with her naked zanpakutou across her lap, closes her eyes and relaxes.
If Ichigo is looking for someone to talk to, then there's a tall-ass wizard currently out in the very early morning light in his sweats, jogging. If he's hard to ID from above, then maybe the vaguely dog-shaped mountain of fluff trotting beside him through the mostly-empty streets might give Harry Dresden away. Right now he's in a full out-sprint, long legs eating up sidewalk as Mouse lunges into a half-run beside him, always making sure to keep abreast of the wizard. He runs at full tilt for a good quarter mile before slowly working his way down to an earnest trot to give his burning calves some time to recover.
Ichigo didn't recognize Harry from above, no. But the dog-shaped horse running along on a leash beside Harry got his attention. Idly pausing on the edge of a roof, he watched the unlikely pair jog up to, and finally under his perch.
Harry finally winds down enough to come to a stop, leaning over and breathing hard, giving himself a few seconds to recover, he pulls an old timey pocketwatch from his pants pocket and clicks it open
( ... )
Surprised by being sniffed out, so to speak, by such a MASSIVE dog, Ichigo just blinks down at the wizard. He noticed the way Harry had cocked his hand back, and though Ichigo didn't know what Harry was planning, he could notice a defensive posture easily enough. In response, Ichigo held both his hands up, palm out, in a classic "I come in peace" pose.
"A-Aa. I wasn't meaning to spy on you."
And, standing up, Ichigo blurs into shunpo long enough to make it to street level. Touching down a healthy distance from that mountain of fur, and teeth, Ichigo looks warily at Mouse, but speaks to Harry.
Meanwhile, Masamune was at his Place of Solace, out of battle uniform for the time being (seeing as he found extra clothes within the manor), opting for a more comfortable ensemble. The top layers have been folded down, mostly for mobility purposes at this point. Taking a deep breath, he then follows through with a kata, slashing once, twice, three times at an invisible enemy, frowning.
Still wasn't the same. Something just didn't ... feel right. Like his back was naked - and not in the literal sense. Though, thinking on it, he supposed it was from the fact that Kojuro wasn't here. So being in this place was like he had a giant target on his back and only one eye.
Ichigo has been busy, today. Going back, and forth across the city, checking out possible abilities, and all around figuring out who would be likely allies.
He wasn't really meaning to take a shortcut through this place, but before he knew it, Ichigo was approaching the manor house that he'd first seen when fighting Date Masamune. Frowning, he paused. Then, the sound of air being displaced by a sword, and muttered curses caught his ear.
Walking normally so as not to startle, he strolled across the grounds until pausing a few yards from where Masamune practiced. Hmm. His movements were tense, and he stumbled oddly through a pivot on the ball of his foot. Ichigo knew, firsthand, that Date was a consummate fighter. That kind of mistake was beneath him.
Something must be bothering him, then.
Sticking his hands into the 'pockets' on the sides of his hakama, Ichigo waited until he was noticed.
A few more curses were muttered in a mixture of Japanese and heavily accented English before he stopped, gaze flickering over to where Ichigo stood outside the courtyard. His expression didn't change, but he slung the katana he was using to practice over his shoulders, nodding once. "What brings you here."
[Blaine arrived punctual as he always did, but found no where waiting for him. No one in the street level. He didn't thought of looking up for Ichigo as he waited for the red head to show up.]
[ Ichigo makes a point of using as many short cuts, and back alleys as he can remember for getting back to the Kurosaki Clinic. Once he's shown Blaine to his house, though, he hustles the both of them inside. ]
Come on. Let's use the roof - it's safer that way.
[ If you're observant, Blaine, you'll probably see a few scattered pictures in frames - both of Ichigo, and his family. ]

"So. What are you avoiding the sidewalks for?"

Shrugging, Ichigo takes the acknowledgment as permission, and strolls closer.
"I know you're better than this. So, wheat's eating you?"

Oi. Come on, let's get out of sight. I don't want the guards to notice, and get you in trouble.

Oh, Hello. No, not really. [He followed the other teen quickly.]
