radio ain't the same.
i find it funny that indie 103.1 is run by clear channel and entravision (a spanish communication corporation that owns alot of radio stations).
a startling revelation to say the least, in its initial beginnings, i thought it was a wonderful concept, but listening to it, i question the format.
i'll have to check out the Current.

They're owned by Clear Channel?! Frick. Are you sure?!

Well, The Current is supported by Minnesota Public Radio, so it's clean, as far as I can tell. It's actually partly a resurrection of "Rev 104.1", a great little Minneapolis radio station that died an ignominious death in the '90s.

well, its funny that they use the name 'indie' and there's really nothing 'indie' about the radio station and the stuff they play.

here's an article about Indie from the LA Weekly a year ago:

actually its really owned by Entravision but Clear Channel sorta figured a way to get a piece of the pie as well...so I think Clear Channel takes care of the advertising and marketing aspects of it, while Entravision is more into the programming.

scroll down this link to find KDLE 103.1 on Entravision owned radio stations:
