Dr Who wins Hugo Award (Dramatic Presentation Short Form)

Just read that DW won the Hugo - hooray! And it was Steven (Press Gang, Coupling) Moffat's two-parter, 'The Empty Child'/'The Doctor Dances' ("Are you my mummy?".... goosebumps!), which were definitely the best eps in the new series' first season. He also was responsible for this year's episode 'The Girl in the Fireplace', which has left me ( Read more... )

Good to see the old Warhorse get a Hugo at last, not even Hitchikers managed that (though considering that was still at the cult BBC radio stage & up against the hyped up Superman movie it was a pretty good showing). Remember, next year vote "I Rocket". I'm sure glad the Galactica revival didn't get it, that's just "The West Wing" with Cylons...

* A combination of awe at its beauty, envy that Sophia Myles (Mme Pompadour) & David Tennant (the Doctor) have each other, and fear I'll never have such a love myself.
