Dancing Ovaries

To help prepare for my upcoming undergrad Creative Nonfiction class next week, I purchased a copy of Ma'am Hidalgo's "Creative Nonfiction: A Manual for Filipino Writers". I absolutely salivate over new books. They're just so... smooth, and so ready to be creased and written in /evil laughter.

Hey, it's a textbook, designed for such abuse. It also ( Read more... )

don't worry about bending such norms in DLSC! we've had students do a genderswap stage play before and i co-directed an adaptation of Valentin Krasnogorov's Let's Have Sex! when i was a sophomore. it's totally cool :D

and i'll definitely watch it no matter what--so long as it's on a weekend. XDDD ♥

Will totes make sure it's on a Saturday then! Have any suggestions? Things you'd like to see? In many different angles? XD

I was just worried because term before last, I remember that the Witch and the Warlock's kissing scene needed to have a sort of form to be approved by the higher ups. ;O;

I'm thinking... of a modern-day Merlin play...XD

you need a form now? D: back in the day, we just had to ask Doc A if it was cool and, even with the material we had, he gave it a go signal. just made us change the title from "let's have sex!" to "let's talk!" lol. and i don't remember having had troubles when they made me play a prostitute junior year. 8D

but anyway! i don't think your idea involves anything close to what they may consider obscene, just crossdressing on stage (which btw do you know if they still have Crossdressing Day in DLSC?) which is far from being scandalous imho.

I agree with all of my heart about the fabulousness of getting new books. So shiny and clean! *_* But I can never bring myself to write in them, haha! I just... can't do it. I remember very clearly sometime during my first year of college, a professor wrote in a novel to make a note, and I was scandalized. XD

The fact that it's called an Ovary had me giggling, for I am an immature 12 year old at heart. XD

:)) don't worry, I don't scribble on novels~ it's a bona fide textbook just itching for a highlighter to come scratching in XD

it just looked like an ovary to me :D seriously, you should see it when it's dancing, hypnotic *O*

OOoh, ooh, we have one of those solar-powered thingies - except ours is a dancing miko (she sways her hips from side to side), so I wouldn't think of naming her something like that.

The first time I read this entry, the picture didn't load, so I really thought you were talking about a plastic model of an ovary.

That would also be brilliant, wouldn't it. An actual dancing ovary *O*

Picture of the woman, and we'll find a nickname for her depending on how she dances XD
