This just went round the campus email list - presumably in response to the sheer number of emails we've had from residences recently, claiming that things like shoes, small buckets, clothing and 'items' left in corridors or near fire escapes will clearly cause us all to instantly die.

Yes but if you step in the square that has the fire in it you will burn to a crisp and then someone will have to use the Resurrectomnotron!!!
