This was a really hard chapter for me to write. Originally, none of this was in my outline. But then I wondered if Kris and Adam's relationship was too black and white, so I added more to the story. I really appreciate comments with lots of feedback like this, so thanks! One thing I have to point out right away though, is that Kris and Adam haven't been lovers yet. I hope that wasn't unclear in the last chapter. :/ But they haven't been physical at all aside from kissing and sleeping in the same bed next to each other (clothed).
I knew having this plot twist could be rather polarizing, but don't worry, I have everything worked out in my head and hopefully the stuff coming in the future will make you un-sad and sympathize with Adam again. :(

I hadn't read any of this chp yet when I had the thought that the Pharoah would be Adam's best ally. And here you are, going that direction with the story. This is awesome! I'm so glad that someone is loving Adam for Adam, who's in a position of power, and treating him well. He's also keeping Adam from being hurt anymore. At some point, the Pharoah needs to come to care for him enough that he asks why his sister hates him. Then Adam needs to trust enough to tell the truth and let the Pharoah be believing, as well as do what needs doing to make those responsible suffer and be punished. Adam's goodness shines through. I know the Pharoah sees that already. He'll believe him when Adam tells him the truth.

Excited to see how all this plays out. And hopefully Adam will be home to Kris very soon. And then it'll be THEIR turn to be together for real. That'll be one sweet reunion. Looking forward to the next update. <3333
