The door makes a nice solid thump sound as you pat it.

You find that it is, indeed, unlocked. There is a handle on the right side.

I look up at the towering castle, made a little uneasy by the creepy structure. I walk up towards the door, carefully looking for anything unusual or out of place.

You find that the wood of the door is old, worn, and falling away, but has solid iron bars across its surface, holding the planks together.

I try to open the door, but do so gently with a care for its age, if it opens I will peer inside. If not, I will examine it more closely.

The door does not open. It appears locked. Upon further investigation, you find that termites have gotten to the door before you have.

After all this time, I wonder why I didn't bring a camera...Then I examine the exterior to the left of the door.

You find that, as an artist this is very odd indeed, however, you dropped your camera in the woods some time ago and were never able to recover it. Sadday.

The stones to the left of the door are square until you reach the top arch. They have about a half-inch raised border and inside each has a relief sculpture of one or two humans dressed in gowns.

Interesting. I examine the exterior to the right of the door before approaching the door itself.

On the right side of the door you find more of the same. You can tell these sculptures go all the way around the door including the wedge-shaped ones at the top of the arch.
