On Gundam00

A long time ago, I watched the anime series Gundam Wing. I loved it; giant robots, explosions, swords, respectable bad guys, good guys that you felt like drop kicking in the face, awesome one liners. I've only seen "Mobile Suit Gundam: F91: The Motion Picture". It wasn't bad; I gave it three stars. Have you seen it? How does it compare with the other Gundam's?

Personally, I think the best anime series are "Twelve Kingdoms", "Last Exile", "Cowboy Bebop", and "Ghost in the Shell: StandAlone Complex". All of those are 4-star series. I've never liked an entire series well enough to give it 5-stars, though all of those had a few 5-star episodes in them.

Mobile Suit Gundam: F91: The Motion Picture, was so so, I like my gundam stories full of action, and this did have a lot of good action. However, anytime you try and make a unique story just for a movie, I feel it is lacking a lot of things, such as background story. Unfortunately, often times gundam just isn't something you can reference events and let the viewer decide to research said event to get the background. Come to think about it, I think that F91 may have a manga about it, it at least has a sequel to it in manga. I think you'd have to ask your brother how it compares to the other series though, he's seen more gundam then I ( ... )
