On Gundam00
A long time ago, I watched the anime series Gundam Wing. I loved it; giant robots, explosions, swords, respectable bad guys, good guys that you felt like drop kicking in the face, awesome one liners. And something I'd never ever seen before on tv, a story that you could actually understand, one that it mattered what order you saw the episodes in.
Since then I've seen countless anime, gundam or not. (I remember my mom asking me one time how I got into it, the answer was of course Gundam Wing.) They made 2 more recent gundam series, Gundam SEED, and Gundam SEED DESTINY. Both of these were like the Final Fantasy: Spirits Within of the Final Fantasy collection. They had the name, and basic story line, but were they really gundam? Not really.
Yesterday I decided I'd see what this new Gundam series was about, and the first episode had me hooked. Giant robots, explosions, swords, respectable bad guys, good guys that you felt like drop kicking in the face, and more awesome one liners. However, I knew better then to get my hopes up from one episode, so I watched the rest of them as well. There are only 8 out so far, so there is plenty of room for mistakes, but it looks like a good series.
On a side note, I'd like to title episode 8: Hello, my name is Relena Dorlian, what's yours?
