  A day after my surgical update exam, my belly started getting red, sore and swelling.  Did I immediately go find help?  Hell, no.  I waited till Monday to call the doctor. Got appointment, took a shower, and started oozing a lovely gray/purple yuck from my belly button.  Call doctor back, "Get here now!" was the reply.  Called Al and he came home

erf your lucky in a way, my stinkin appendix burst on the operation room table apparently so I got lain up in the hospital for a week, No go home and take pills for me, nope I got prophilactics and a nice constant drip of antibiotics in my arm for nearly a week.
