further adventers of the appendix-free Badger

A day after my surgical update exam, my belly started getting red, sore and swelling.  Did I immediately go find help?  Hell, no.  I waited till Monday to call the doctor. Got appointment, took a shower, and started oozing a lovely gray/purple yuck from my belly button.  Call doctor back, "Get here now!" was the reply.  Called Al and he came home and took me to the doctor's office.  I have an infection!  Duh.  Probably from the nasty appendix touching freshly cut skin and sharing its 'joy.'  Flushed it out, bandaged, and given 2 antibiotic prescriptions.  Woohoo!  (No work for me for another week.)   I did throw up two of the really strong antibiotics (Think Mentos and Coke for one of them.).  I have had two weeks of metallic taste in my mouth, lack of appetite (but hey, I've lost 10 pounds!), tiring easily, being stuck at home because I can't drive....  A few more trips to doctor's office for poking, flushing, bandaging.  Its about done oozing, I hope.  I'm tired of "mummy tummy,"  peeling off tape, itching, etc (Wah, wah, wah!)  I go back today for more fun.  I'll let you know what happens.

Dr. Seale is my surgeon.  Dr Baer is is  partner.  Robin is the nurse taking care of me at the office.  As a fur, I find this amusing.  B-)
