Lovely lovely!! Thank you so much!! Now I'll have so much to read, yay! I was getting so scared that this fandom was too small and despite how OBVIOUS this pairing should be, so little fanfiction has been done but that's why small fandoms need writers like you!!

I've always loved the pairing but I thought my love for them was merely as brothers because they're just so cute but I realize that I want more out of them and I can so see Ace being the jealous possessive brother, heh!

Actually, I just caught up with the anime/manga and my heart totally died after what happened at Marineford and I NEEDED to be happy again which is what led me to delurk and post!

Would you happen to know any Japanese fanart sites that feature this lovely pairing? I keep seeing all this lovely art in AMVs and such but can never find their source*pouts*

Probably the reason why it's not a big pairing is that they were seen as blood related brothers for so long. A lot of people like to think of them as only that, brothers. I kind of figured they weren't really brothers as I got into the pairing, it was a hunch. The AceLu pairing kind of still holds that stigma as being 'D-cest', and some fans are not too fond of that. A while ago someone got pissed at a fic I wrote saying it was sick. ( It was a fluff fic. .w.; ) It's a little sad because it's a fun pairing

You know, now that you bring it up, it does make me wonder now why it wasn't more popular considering blood brothers like the Elric brothers are huge with slash fangirls and they're full-on blood brothers, you know? Maybe it's just because the D Brothers' relationship was a lot less angsty (though that's certainly changed now with Ace's demise) seeing as how they were just so cute together without the slash undertone lurking behind like a terrible monster

I'd had a ton of episodes to catch up to (was only up to the Thriller Bark saga) and I watched them all in one go, cried a fountain, had to read the chapters but it wasn't. enough.
