Thoughts on events recent as of 109 and on Janus

Old fan of the show (Five years almost? It doesn't feel like it) and I finally caught up on third season episodes, for that matter getting around to watch the last few season two episodes subbed. While I still have yet to watch the OVA, the last episode has really had me thinking and I wanted to see if I could generate some discussion about it.

I keep forgetting that one sub group keeps using Janus even if it's completely incorrect. I'm sorta confused by the name thing too. I understand that part of the problem is the way it looks in Japanese writing may not actually be the correct spelling. And to completely disregard how it actually sounds doesn't seem right. It sounds like geneus(genius or genesis or some variation of that) so janus just seems wrong.

Sara and Berias do trust each other, and I have a theory but that would spoil the latest episodes for you. I'm sorta glad I know enough Japanese to get through the episodes without being lost. But on thing I will say about Berias is that he looks like a bckground charater from another episode this season (at least once you see his appearance at the end of ep.111)

Geneus (Janus) will probably meet his demise as he loses his usefulness, thugh I sorta want him to see Shinou at least once before the season ends. I'm quite fond of Geneus and his devotion to Shinou.

Yeah, I was once upon a time in a RP where we did keep up with canon, so that eventually lead most of us to watching raws. I.... know only a little spoken Japanese atm, and that's from the watching I've done. Which I certainly didn't have back then (But I am taking Japanese this semester! So one day-!) though the wonderful summaries and those of those which did know Japanese were a big help to me :)

Janus is what I think I see in the group I watch, I have had to ping pong around a lot so I just... know them @_@ just don't ask me to name the characters. (And Geneus makes me think of Tales series.... |D

I like the group who spells it Geneus, the were part of DATS but decided to create a new group at around episode 14. The translator worked on several series before and does good work so I trust them.

I always knw Yuuri would make that choice. I would've been surpried if he decided any other way. Now we'll just have to see what Sara does next.

I think Berias is related to Sara. He was behind Alazon during her flashback about how her country deteriated (at least it kinda looks like him). He probably even chose to protect Sara because they're related and Sara's mother left.

we use Geneus in our subs too, and none of us watch the other groups things, so 2/3 coming to the same conclusion seems refreshing. while we're about a year and a bit into the actual fansubbing, our translator has done quite a few other translations and we've done a few side private projects together.

I think a lot of the negativity with Sara fandom-wise is his supposed threat to the already established relationships in the series, e.g. Yuuram, Conyuu (but especially Yuuram because blond vs blond seem a more direct competition). There was just too much SaraYuu fanservice concentrated into few episodes that made those fans go eewww (<--- yes that's my elegant writing). Perhaps he might have been more popular if say the animators didn't put such blatancy in their fanservice. I mean a Wolfram hug and Yuuram fans are squealing like mad *raises hand - yup that would be me* and all ConYuu fans get are words and looks while SaraYuu gets hand holding, touches, getting stuck in confined spaces, blushing, hugging, and whatever else. Not to mention the most blatant ones where stolen Yuuram (arrow scene) and ConYuu (coffin scene) from the novel

You know where my loyalties lie (lye? I don't LIE!!!). But so far, I don't really mind the SaraYuu fanservice! xD I didn't even realize he had stolen scenes from Conrad and Wolf until it was mentioned *needs to read novels more*... however, I have a feeling I'd still prefer the coffin scene with Sara in it! xD And, Yuuri is cute when he tries so hard to be straight and comes out of the closet on the other end! xD

And Jenny will stay Jenny in my heart! xD

Yes, you need to read the novels more. I can't believe you have them, can speak/read Japanese and you haven't read all of them (or have you?). I'd prefer the coffin scene with only Sara in it (buwahahahaha). Ok, I'll be nice, throw Conrad in there with him. XDDD

They just need to 'download' Jenny's personality on Shouri's computer and everything would be fine. Shouri and Jenny can live happily ever after. (Of course, there will be one time when Shouri is drunk and he'll try to make Murata roleplay Jenny because Jenny got a virus due to Shouri's surfing on xxxtube.)

INOERITE? I'M SO BAD! Actually, I have about half the novels and most of the manga tankoubons, but have only read bits and pieces... Maybe because my relationship with kanji wasn't always a happy one and they make me feel lazy and impatient? Or maybe because the Conyuu rumors about the novels used to scare me? Or maybe because there's so much to slash do and so little time? 8D

But I got me a bunch of novels while I was in Japan and I'm planning to actually read them. I hope. xD

Incidentally, a while ago I decided I'd call Shouri's compy Penny... but Jenny would do, too! xD I can imagine the compy going all, "Shouri-sama" on him! (But maybe Shouri would prefer a PVC doll with Jenny's likeness?)
