Question about Adalbert

I'm curious about something...

Is it just me, or does Adalbert have the ability to use houseki? I know that it's mentioned in the anime that the houseki stones make full blooded Mazoku weak, unable to use their powers and can hurt them as well. But yet he's used them on quite a few occasions without any noticeable side effects. Isn't he full blooded

I hadn't really thought about that before... He's been aging along with the Mazoku characters and all. Maybe he's got some human blood that none of us were paying attention to.
Or maybe we're so caught up in all the weird/unexplained things that go on in KKM that we don't question anything anymore. >.

Actually, now that you mention it, I'm kinda wondering about that myself. I don't think that was ever really explained in the anime. There are a couple of points in the series which make me raise an eyebrow... which is saying a lot for a series where a lot of random stuff is explained away by MAGIC or STRANGE CUSTOM.

he probably built up a tolerance to it, since he has been living among humans for 20 years

and also mazoku can't use their powers in human territory, so maybe his powers are so weak for being in active that the houseki doesn't affect his weak mazoku blood

that's the besti can come up with in a few mins

I second the tolerance for it~ And then maybe the pain of losing Julia and "Conrad's" betrayal is negating the pain from Houseki~~ XD

I suspect it's the sword though :o

I've been wondering about that, too.... but I've learned in the past that it's best to just not question things in the world of KKM... xD
