Japan Trip Part One

It is just a few weeks away and probably two decades in the making, I'm finally going to Japan. A place where I will probably be a such a terrible outsider, but where I have always felt a belonging. Maybe just in the underground, but a place where it's OK to play with dolls, cartoons are an artform and coffins are cute!

In Osaka, I must recommend Tsurutontan on Nipponbashi bridge. http://www.tsurutontan.co.jp/soemon/
Some of the most amazing restorative delicious food I have ever eaten. EVER. I have been completely ruined since eating there, and I'm not even that wild about Udon. And the sweet young man who was painstakingly translating the entire menu into English in his spare time should be done by now. ;) It will be a longer wait, but try to get a table downstairs in the tatami room for the full experience.

Yep, stay tuned for the rest of the itinerary. I swear I have had most of this stuff book marked for 6 years now. Remember "Frickart Dolly Shop" they have a store in Ota! I hope I find time to swing over there :)
