Thanks for the calculator... though I must have input something wrong. It says I need 1190 calories to lose weight, which I know isn't completely true. I was still managing to lose weight despite having 1250/1300/1400 calorie days.
Did you input your activity level? That makes a big difference. If you're getting exercise three times a week, you're going to need much more than if you don't exercise at all.
I put in "stationary/desk job" because my exercise is kind of erratic. Sometimes it's 3-5 times a week, sometimes it's none a week. I can't seem to stay on a consistent exercise schedule if my life depended on it.
I've never been terribly self conscious, but up until I was 15, I had a lot of difficulty talking to people and it was something I really wanted to change about myself. I worked at it really hard for a few years and I'm so pleased with how far I've come. I can talk to pretty much anyone about anything and I don't feel as boring to speak to now.
Just kind of wanted to say that you can change yourself if you want to! I'm really happy with how I can talk to people now. :)
Awesome! I have problems talking to people too (face to face, that is; online I'm usually okay), though I'm not quite sure how to work on it. College cured me of some of my social awkwardness, but not all of it.
You may be heavier than me, but you're probably more fit than I am, with all that cheerleading practice. All of my weight is fat and bones, no muscle. XD
I haven't been cheering that long, haha! I carry a lot of extra weight around the middle, it's pretty annoying. My arms and legs are improving with cheer, but not the middle; I need to do cardio for that.
That sounds like the opposite of me. I was able to lose some fat from around my waist and hips, but my arms and legs are kind of a lost cause. I guess I need to do some weight training or something... though I'm kind of hesitant to do that with my arms in case I re-injure my wrists again.
Yay, congrats on reaching your goal!! When I was 115 I felt I weighed too much, but I am only 5'! Of course, when I accidentally ended up closer to 90lbs I just felt really sick, so finally I'm bouncing around in the 105lb range or so (105-110) and just pretending I don't care. I have these amazing fat rolls that just NEVER GO AWAY NO MATTER WHAT so now that I've realized that, I just don't care anymore. I will give them names and probably even mailboxes. :P
But seriously, yay! And what kind of cake? Because the kind of cake matters...
Hahaha, yeah, I had fat rolls too. Thankfully I was able to get rid of most of the ones on my stomach, but my thighs are kind of a lost cause. I'm going to see if I can tone them, but I'm not holding my breath.
Just a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. That and lemon (ew) and german chocolate (double ew) are the only cake mixes we had in the house. It's nothing fancy, but it's still delicious.

Oh, and congratulations on hitting that goal and realizing that you can change things, if you choose to! I think that's an important realization.
