I got the best thing in the mail last weekend. I have been anticipating this figure since it was first announced last... March? April? The wait was painfully long, but it is finally here!

That is a gorgeous figurine. Is it imported?

Somehow, I'm not surprised the fanfic is better than the movies lol

Yep, imported from Japan. It's made by my favorite company (Alter). As soon as I saw the prototype images, I was like "TAKE MY MONEY NOW!"

I'm not surprised that the fanfic is better than the movies or the books. However, I am surprised it's good enough that I would buy it, if it was an actual book.

I'm not familiar with the series/character, but that's still a pretty figure!

Link to the fanfic? Now I'm curious. XD;

TotA is a great game! They even re-made it for the 3DS recently... though I'm not sure if you'd be able to play it or not, with your motion sickness. D:

The fanfic is here. She also wrote a sequel. I'm about a third of the way through the first fanfic and I really like it so far! It's basically a retelling of Twilight, except...
1. The author changed Bella's personality (which makes her far less annoying, imo)
2. The Cullens decide to tell Bella that they are vampires early on, which causes the plot to deviate from Twilight's after a few chapters.

I'm pretty sure the author kept all of Meyer's world building details and characters (except for Bella) the same, though I don't know for sure because I haven't read past the first Twilight book. For instance, the vampires still sparkle in this fic, but the way it's written sounds much less ridiculous than it did in Twilight.

Thanks for linking my fic! I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I did keep as many worldbuilding details as I could find in the books/wiki/lexicon, but I had to fill in some gaps and extrapolate from some thin material.

Oh hi, I had no idea you were on LJ.

Thanks for writing the fic. I've always thought that the world was interesting in Twilight. I just wasn't too crazy about Meyer's writing style or where she took the plot. I think I'm going to make your take on Twilight my new head-canon.

By the way, I really like the way you write the vampires, especially Emmett.

I would have pic spammed too if I already have the space to display it XD; Otherwise I don't like taking the figure out and having to put it back again ;o;

Now I wonder if we can actually sheath that sword...

1/8 Kratos want.

I need to figure out where to put him, actually. (Right now he's on my PS2 because I forgot to leave space for him when I organized my Tales shelf.)

You can't, unfortunately. The inside of his sheath is solid.

1/8 Kratos would be amazing!

Aww, it'd be fun if you could sheath his sword XD; Maybe they should have made a short haired Luke with the Key of Lorelei instead of having an interchangeable head @_@

I'll kill for a 1/8 Kratos (and Richard) >_>

It's not the rationality fic, is it? XD It was okay, but Methods of Rationality is better, but that one went downhill and got less funny.

I don't think so? Bella seems a bit more rational, but not to the extent of Harry in the MoR fic (which I tried to get into but couldn't).

The fic is called Luminosity. Apparently it's pretty well-known in the Twilight fandom, but I had never heard of it before since I wasn't in the fandom.

Yeah, that's the rationality fic.

It is? It doesn't read the same way at all, imo. Or maybe it does, but I don't notice it as much because it's narrated through the eyes of a teenager instead of a kid.

I'm about halfway through it right now and it seems like the plot could go anywhere way at the moment. I'm hoping it doesn't go downhill too much though. I've enjoyed it so far.

Gorgeous figure! I recently bought Abyss for the 3DS and I've been playing it.

I wish I had the 3DS version. I only have the PS2 version, which I still haven't finished... in part because it's not portable and I only have limited time to play it.

How far are you?
