Totally agree. I love this show, and most of the fandom is amazing, but the ones that take a rumour and run with it, or keep constantly harassing the actors/actresses to find something out drive me mad. I posted bout it on Tumblr yesterday when I saw people already starting petitions to get season 8 going. Season 7 hasn't even aired yet *eyeroll*

It just makes me so mad that a few idiots always manage to rile up some other people and then it's another shitstorm happening for no good reason. Especially since the ones doing the riling up and making everybody panic are usually the ones with the least clue. Sometimes I'd really like to gag them and beat them with a stick.

I think this all sprung from the news that there'll (apparently) be 23 episodes next season? Which of course couldn't be because the CW is rewarding the viewers, or has some special event planned? Nooooo, it's GOT to be because it's the last season - even though if ratings were that bad, the network would likely CUT the season order, not expand it!

When people carry on like that, I always want to tell them IT'S A TELEVISION SHOW. MOVE OUT OF YOUR PARENTS' BASEMENT AND GET A LIFE.

Though of course that would make me the target of (more) wank.

I backed away from the SPN fandom a couple of years ago completely because it was just way too nuts!! Actually I deleted everyone associated with it except for you and one other woman, The only sane two I had met!! *g*

Bravo...couldn't have said it better myself, sometimes I have to shake my head and go really guys, REALLY!!! I mean most of the time no one bothers to check any facts before posting and then fans just run with it without sitting back and going "yeah right" it drives me nuts. Some fans give this fandom a dumb name....Oh Vey lol
