It's shaping up to be one of those weeks: 3 funerals to do this week, lots of folks needing pastoral care, dealing with my own ailing mother, Ash Wednesday service\start of Lent. It's turning into a true Lenten week.

I was reading the history of the tablet with the "Sargonic Battle Legend." The tablet/text date from the 14th century BCE. It was found in Amarna.

Icy and snowy with more on the way here....which means church services have been canceled at both congregations. Which means I get to stay home in pajamas, eat homemade blueberry scones, and watch truly awful Lifetime movies.

Had success with Earnest!Young!Baptist!Gay-is-a-Sin!Pastor today. We've been having coffee a couple times a week and he's coming to our local clergy meetings. His church has offered to host the ecumenical food pantry and to work coordinate this years CROP walk against hunger with me and my congregation.
