Sleep where are thou

Well its been a month and a half since i started working night shifts and it seems that sleep is no longer a possiblity for me. in the past month i have averged 4 hours of sleep per day with a few 6 hour sleep cycles thrown in to remind me what i am missing. i am so tired but no matter what i try i can't go to sleep, i have even did what i ( Read more... )

I work nights, too, so I get it. I get home and there's no way I can settle down to sleep for an hour or two. Then I have to get up early.

I've become the Queen of Nappers. Some people swear by the 20-minute shuteye, I prefer the two-hour sleep. But sometimes that isn't possible, either, and after weeks you just feel like you're going to die.

The only thing I'd suggest is lots of fresh air. Get out there and walk or play or anything, for as long as you can stand. Even if it doesn't knock you out, I can nearly guarantee it'll make you feel better.

Don't fight it.
Stop thinking "I need to sleep before I get to work" Just let your body find it's way.
Like she said though, you have to keep active.
Sitting in front of a computer will have you body thinking it's tired, but really it's only fatigue.
