Summary: Are Kevin and Scotty destined to be together?

Life was quite a simple concept for Scott Wandell; he had his life planned out from such an early age there was no denying it. He was to meet a pretty smart girl, marry her and have a few kids; though at the same time he had a good and well respected job.
Well at 28 years old he thought the plan wasn’t quite want he hoped but he was on track; hopefully by 30 he might actually have it all right. He had a job at a four star restaurant; with the help of his work he should be able to get it to a five start within the next year.
He had a pretty smart girlfriend; she work as a journalist for a top rated magazine; none of that National Enquirer stuff for his girl. They meet while she was just starting out as a writer and he was starting as chef; he saw it as fate; they were both starting their careers and getting noticed by the right people. That was five years ago and they were still together and happy.
He was standing at the corner of the road; waiting impatiently for the little red man to turn into the little green man. He checked his wrist watch for the dozen time hoping that it wouldn’t show him that he was late. Really late to meeting Jessica; she was going to be annoyed. Her principle was always to be five minutes early and if you were going to be late you might as well not bother coming at all. Don’t waste her time was her attitude.
Though he had called and told her he was going to be late but he could literally see her frown with annoyance; not that he blamed her. It was after all his idea to meet for dinner and since she knew that since Scotty was a chef he was fussy about the food he ate so she wasn’t allowed to order for him.
The lights changed and he particular ran across the road and into the little cafe opposite. It was one of the places that had recently been recommended to him by a friend and he wanted to try it; just so he could offer an expert opinion on the matter.
And there Jessica sat waiting for him just like he expected her to; obviously she had come from or was going to a meeting, wearing a suit that showed off her figure in all the right places. She was the most gorgeous women in the cafe; she had natural blonde hair so it didn’t over power her pale complex. She was exactly like the women his parents had always wanted him to meet. Beautiful (anyone could tell that) and successfully; which people could tell by the way she spoke.
“Late” was the first word that came from Jessica’s mouth when she saw Scotty walking cowardly towards her.
“I know, I’m sorry, the kitchen was busier than I expected for today and I couldn’t leave until I knew it was safe to do so” Scotty apologized sincerely “Please, forgive me” and he put on his best puppy face that he could. He started to see a crack in the shield that she had put up “And did I mention how gorgeous you look today... just like every other day of the week” he still hadn’t sat down so the conversation was heard and they could hear neighbouring table sigh in surprise and in jealously.
“I just can’t stay angry at you” Jessica said sweetly “you’re just too damn cute”.
Scotty held out his hand; which Jessica took immediately and was then whisked off her seat by Scotty. He twisted her around and down for a complete and shell shocking kiss that resulted in applauds from the cafes’ residents.
