Summary: Are Kevin and Scotty destined to be together?
Written for Love Bingo - Prompt - Bisexuality
Scotty pulled Jessica up from the kiss and then showed her to her seat which she took gracefully and without any sign of embarrassment from the show of public displays of affection. She actually enjoyed being the centre of attention.
Though Scotty ended up paying more attention to the couple in the corner of the cafe; they were having a very public and heated argument.
“See, why can’t you ever for just once treat me like that” the women was saying to her partner; she seemed angry but also hurt.
“Um, because, I’m not insane” the guy answered; he actually thought that it was romantic to grab hold of his girlfriend like an object “I don’t feel the need to make a spectacle of myself” the guy said defending “and why would I kiss you?” he suddenly, very confused by the way the conversation had just gone.
“Because we’ve been seeing each other for a few weeks and you haven’t once tried to kiss me” the women said suddenly shy; she has realized that they were now the centre of attention.
“Um, no we haven’t” the man said feeling slightly sorry for the women who was sitting opposite him but understanding where the outburst had came from.
“Yes we are, Kevin” the women stated but not feeling as confident as she was a few moments ago “or want do you call this” she said gesturing to the cafe and the food on the plates.
“Two colleagues having lunch together” Kevin said very confused “you do know I’m gay, right?” he whispered trying to be quiet as to not hurt or embarrass her anymore than he was about to; obviously she didn’t know.
“What, you’re bisexual, right?” the women asked trying to save face “they all told me that you were interested in me?” she carefully stated “you must have told them, right?” she was starting to get upset and was threatening to cry soon.
“No, I’m sorry, I didn’t, Jane” Kevin said now feeling even more sorry for his friend but also angry at the people they worked with “I’m not bisexual, I really don’t think it actually exists; you never heard of the saying bi now gay later” the women smiled slightly at the term; she actually had “I don’t really know why anyone told you this though; they all know I’m gay” Kevin said getting more furious that someone do this to her.
Jane managed to actually compose herself to say “If you wouldn’t mind I’m just going to leave now; I’m sorry” she finished as she rose from her seat; left some money and Kevin was too furious to even move.
Back at Scotty and Jessica’s table; the conversation had been heard by all but was quickly forgot by Jessica when she looked at her watch.
“I’m sorry, Scotty” Jessica said regretfully “because you were late I have to leave now if I want to make my meeting on time” she stood up quickly and gave Scotty a quick friendly kiss on the forehead and left.
Scotty in the mean time hadn’t taken his eyes off the table in corner; he made a decision and quickly stood up before he could change it and rushed for the exit of the cafe.
