My grandparents had (and still used) an old-school cast-iron (wood-fired?) kitchen stove up until about 1983 or 1984 when they sold the old farmhouse. IIRC (since I was <5 years old at the time), they had a tiny propane stove that they used in the summer, but still fired up the big beast in the winter since it also served as a space heater (and took a long time to heat up/cool down).

I don't know what happened to it when they sold the farm.

The last time I saw something that massive, it had a white number on the bow and was tied to a pier.
