The role of Twitter in a blogging world

For the past decade I've spent some time and thought and energy into blogging -- and looking back, I think that if you printed the whole thing out and put it between covers it wouldn't be such a bad read. I agree with you, Twitter and Facebook are accessories to me, meant to complement and unclutter my blog. And it IS fun seeing what Shatner, or Neil, or you Tweet up next.

And it's fun watching William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy tweet back and forth about dinner.)

Personally, the battle of Kevin Smith and Neil Gaiman over Amanda Palmer was very entertaining to me.

I started tweeting because a couple of people I followed on blogs were saying things on twitter that weren't always getting shared on the blogs.

Then they were retweeting things and some of those retweets have lead me to new blogs. (like yours)

I agree, twitter can be a wonderful way of getting a message out. (plus a fun exercise to really get to what do you mean to say in 140 chars.)

That is an AWESOME shot!

It is nice that the one-word posts have moved to a good one-word forum. It's been feeling lately like we are on the verge of an LJ-revival, as more people figure out ways like you mention above, of combining blogging methods.
