My mother had surgery a week ago, so she's been in the back of my mind more often than is usual. I called her again this evening, whereupon she said that she and her doctor were in disagreement: the doctor says she's doing splendidly, my mother says she's not back to 100% after one week, so she's taking far too long to heal. I'm finally making progress on the research for my master's thesis. Creating and reading Southern blots has proved as difficult as everyone said it would be, despite my youthful enthusiasm. The end of the semester sped by in a flutter. After Pride Month, I had to get back on track with my own life, which took a bit of doing. Classes ended before April did, so I at least had a week to catch up. Instead, I followed LJ to Savannah, GA, and Hilton Head, SC, to relax. I'm glad I made that call.
