proving you can

Wow. Although the first background song is way overplayed in this type of video, this video almost had me in tears. Starting at 471 lbs a man began a journey to becoming a triathlete. 82 lbs lighter was his first race, and that is his video of it.

triathlons, blogs, workout, videos

Although it does bad things for my sympathy levels for some coworkers (or others) that use they "It's just too late for me" type approach, or accept that the weight/health damage they have done is just permanent.

well, if they truly believe that it's too late, then it is. it's all in the mind. this guy took the chance and said, no, it's not too late and i can do this. and that's so amazing. :)

Well I see that approach as an excuse, even if they believe it. And this guy just proves it is a mindset thing, which = less sympathetic kylie.

wow! I didn't watch the video yet but I skimmed his blog and bookmarked it. that's crazy. If he can lose a billion pounds, then I can lose like 10 to be a faster runner :)

If D and I can... digitalcortex October 15 2006, 00:26:43 UTC
If D can teach himself to swim and make it to the TRI, and I can get a Phd even though I am ADHD, you can do anything ; ) p.s. if you ever meet D during a race, tell him I love him.. he's training to swim the English Channel phew
