Thou Shalt Read Furry Smut
Happy May! Okay, I'm pleased to be able (finally) to talk officially about this project I've been working on. It's in final stages and I can with a fair amount of confidence say that you will be able to pick it up at this year's Anthrocon.
The title of the book is "X." It's an anthology of ten adult furry stories written by myself and nine other amazing authors, each author theming the story around one of the Ten Commandments (so that all ten are represented). There are gay stories and straight stories, stories with a little sex and stories with, ahem, lots. There's science fiction, fantasy, contemporary fiction, magical realism.
The other authors working with me are kmhirosaki, poetigress, fuzzwolf, osfer, Not Tube, Jonas, B.C. Currier, Pyrostinger, and Whyte Yote. If you didn't know some of those names before, you will soon. I invited those authors because I was familiar with their work, but I was still surprised by the quality of the stories submitted. This is one terrific collection, folks.
My story's theme was "Remember the Sabbath Day and Keep It Holy." It was a challenge, to be sure, but I like challenges--that's why I waited 'til last to take the poor little commandment nobody else wanted. :) I'll talk about that story more in a future post, and I'll let the other authors talk about their stories in their own forums...it'll be fun for you to figure out who's doing what, like a scavenger hunt. :)
Oh, and did I mention the art? The lovely and talented hbruton has provided the cover as well as two interiors; the rest of the art is being provided by screwbald, DNapalmHead, Zaush, ShinigamiGirl, Jonas, oCeLoT, Nylak, and Savannah Horrocks.
sofawolf will announce this as part of its summer lineup, but I wanted to give you guys the scoop as soon as I felt sure we'd get it done in time for AC. Start getting excited now! :)
