Dream a Little Dream of Me

3/5 *****

+10 for the Dean on Dean confrontation
- 3 for the simple plot, when Bella disappeared at the end, I assumed we were still in Sam's original dream... disappointingly not
- 2 for the opening scene- Sam is whiny
- 1 because I'm ready for Sam to explore his powers already
+ 1 for the call-back to Dean's possible child's mother, I thought at first it was the wife created for him in his other dream episode, this was a better touch because it was more realistic
- 3 for Bella being pointless instead of interesting... what's annoying is that I really think there's potential for her to be awesome, but the writing is just not good enough
+ 1 for getting Bobby's back story

Roomie's Rating: 3/5 > enjoyable, but didn't draw me in. Liked the plot and idea, but poorly executed. And! That Dean finally accepted what was going on.

VS!
Sam 3/5
Dean 5/5
Bobby 4/5 < for pointing out Sam's gifts and also for being Bobby

Why I love Dean
Because Because

....

oh - you want more?

Because he knows that he has low self esteem and can attack himself with the fact. And for finally, finally laying out for himself that daddy-dearest is a douchebag and though it probably wasn't John's fault that mommy died, hearing Dean say so was gratifying.

In other t.v.-related news, I watched the first episode of Twin Peaks today. And it's incredible. I want to watch the pilot a second time and then I'll probably start writing about it, also. I had hoped that SPN would keep my lit-brain busy during summer break, but it just isn't enough. Also, PotentialCast will soon be into AtS and I may start up with that, doing Angel and Buffy side by side. ALSO (I had lazy day) watched the second and third episodes of Dr. Who and have decided to continue. Now, I know very little about this except that there was recently a new doctor that people have mixed feelings about, and that there is an earlier series or something. My ex-brother-in-law now doppleganger's significant (long RL story) assured me that I could start with ... whichever one I started with and am continuing with. He is a good 15 years older than me and has a history of long hair and gothic tendencies, and is a hard-core David Bowie fan... all of these things add up in my mind as reasons to trust in him my Dr. Who beginnings. Don't ask me why.
