It is quite enjoyable, though given the reactions, I suppose it just did not pass onto Modern Japan as I had hoped...no matter though, it is still an worth-while event...

It sounds just like the Watanagashi festival back home!

It'll be nice, if only just that once, to have something familiar to latch onto.

Then I am most pleased to hear that it brings you some joy as well, perhaps this festival you speak of branched out from this old custom?

What the hell are you celebrating demons for?

It is the Festival of a Thousand Demons, or often called 'Night of One Hundred' demons, Sir,

Puzzling, I assumed they had such festivities in Japan during ages past and into the future...

[OOC:I have like no hope explaining it, but unfortunately Wikipedia ate the article about it...DX, so um, just know it's a traditional Japanese festival kind of like O-bon]

What the hell are you talking about? What's a 'japan' ??

You better start making some sense, freak, or I'll just assume you're a demon and deal with you accordingly.

[ Of course, someone like Mugen wouldn't know that even if it was. He couldn't even read. D: ]

...Japan, why it is the country we used to reside in--the land of the Rising Sun? Nippon?

...Or mayhap, you're Okinawan?

[OOC:Aww, poor Mugen, I guess Jin did all the work when it came to literacy huh? ^^;;]

Um... Demons don't seem like something to celebrate, to me.

Not all demons are necessary bad, and it is more as giving reverence to the freshly deceased...

...I suppose that's true enough.

Oh, I see. I just haven't had good experiences with demons in my world.

Hmm, I am very sorry to hear that, true many demons in my world would not hesitate to attack, but then again, the same can be said with any beast really...

...I apologize, I cannot seem to recall your journal, you are Miss?

Demons? Is this some kind of ritual?

Oh no, of course not, Sir! It is merely the traditional Japanese summer festival near the time of O-bon...

Though, I suppose the atmosphere for telling stories is rather close to one of a ritual...

[OOC:Since I can't find the article for Night of Thousand demons, this one's on O-bon:

[ ignore the first one please. ]

Festival of a Thousand Demons? Are you referring to Hyaaki Ya Koushou? Because the one I've been to, it's supposingly a celebration for demons and spirits. And I was there on a mission for a self-centered witch's wimp cravings for good ol' wine, hn.

[OOC:No worries, I do that often too...^^;; Though I'm still fuzzy if it's night of One hundred demons or One thousnad, people seemed to use both...so bear with me on that.. :/]

Why yes! That festival, it is rather a splendid occasion, is it not? ...Wine? Why yes there is drinking involved...are you speaking of Ms.Yuuko?
