The reason I have somehow managed to not post for a week is because I kept going to London and coming back (going again tomorrow) and then there was so much to catch up with, with my time spend fairly equally on the election, on reading numerous posts about consent and then as a break from all that on figure skating fun times. Re: Terry Richardson, I had been following that unfolding on Jezebel and today finally got into fangirling Tami Gevinson (not that I didn't wish her well before, just didn't particuarly follow) when they linked to this post. SING IT, SISTER! And other less embarassing interjections.

I am a little ashamed to admit that it is from her post that I saw everything else (not that I didn't know about him, but the more specific recent accusations) and Tavi is awesome. It makes me sad how much her fame has led to people saying really awful things on the internet about her.

Yeah seriously, she might not be the Best Blogger Ever, but she's a good blogger, not even good for a 14 year old, just good. I'm sure it's true that the attention she has got over other fashion bloggers has been for the novelty factor, but that doesn't make her not smart and funny - there was a good Jez post about the poor ideas of adolescents it illustrated.

I'm not saying that's all Richardson does, but "love" entails "respect" and also "the basic human decency to not use pictures of someone's lady parts for your photography show without her permission" and also "the basic human decency to not pressure a girl into giving you a hand job because OH MY GOD I WILL LITERALLY NOT BE ABLE TO PRESS THE FLASH BUTTON ON MY CAMERA UNLESS YOU TAKE NOTICE OF THE FACT THAT I HAVE NO PANTS ON. ALSO I'M A PROFESSIONAL."
is just awesome!

(And I only heard about him through this on Jezebel, though I don't follow fashion nearly as much as you!)

I spent a lot of yesterday reading through harmonyfb's post on this topic and nearly tore my hair out in rage/disgust/absolute blinding shock. And then there were the fabulous people who post things to make me feel much better. glass_icarus linked to this particular gem.

Also, I feel like we should be more shocked RE: Cameron/Clegg fic...but I'm somehow not. XD

I really don't understand how he got so famous in the first place, all his photos are the same and there is hardly any fashion in them. And yeah, he is in a similar position to Polanski, in that his ~talent~ makes it okay for him to do whatever he wants to, to the underage models, most of which don't even speak English and everybody knows and defends him. Even Tavi's post (which Laura linked to) as wonderful as it is, explicitly disclaims that she isn't sayng he shouldn't work again, but why not? He SHOULDN'T work again!

Yay, heart tights! I have a similar pair, but I love that there is more of a distance between the hearts.

Tyler is a werewolf, he has to be! I am sort of excited by this development.

KATHERINE. Katherine!!! I had no idea that was her and was quite pleased with the (really hot!) Elena/Damon kiss, and Damon was amazing, so AMAZING and vulnerable, but believably so. I loved his conversation with Jeremy.

Oh god, Jeremy. :((((( I reaaaaally didn't want him to turn, but thought he will after Anna's death. Which was horrible, Uncle Jack deserved to die after that.

I am glad Bonnie redeemed herself and even liked her little speech to Stefan. I like that she is coming into her full power.
