My Friday the 13th had an epic storm, the utter destruction of my umbrella (only the wire frame remained, for reals), the breaking down of my car and a really fun night out with a little too much red wine and fantastic people. All in all, car aside, a fair balance.

I've been meaning to write down my thoughts on Merlin since yesterday, but there ( Read more... )

I mean, he had enough time to save them all, had he chosen to do so and it seems to be that that would have been fine, or to let them die, but the things he told Adelaide while still believing he was not interfering. Well, he clearly was interfering. :/
RIGHT!? I was glad he came back for the three of them, but he could have gotten more out dammit.

Although I'm still surprised that three (well, two) made it out alive, since these DW specials are usually an exercise in killing off all-but-one of the newly introduced characters.

I don't know, this ep made me mostly sad. :(

I was glad he came back, because it would have been way too bleak had he not, but I felt like he was already too late, you know?

Me too. But in not in a satisfying/personal level, I felt a little detached from it for some reason. And really creeped out. It was scary!

Wooord! Oh RTD, why so depressing?

It was definitely not satisfying angst. I felt quite uncomfortable. And yes, creeped out!

Well, it's RTD, that's what he does... :(

I had some believability issues with Arthur's extreme reaction

Yeah, me too, but I think Bradley sold it, he really was fantastic! The entire scene with Uther, his anger and then breaking down and keeling and Uther kissing his head was so intense and beautiful. And Merlin's unshed tears. My poor broken boys, I want them to be happy so very much and it looks like it's never going to happen.
