Epilogue
“Akanishi…”
I stopped walking. I thought she don’t remember me. Is she the one calling me? I turn behind slowly. She is smiling at me.
“Tadaima.*”
“Nori…” I whispered, shocked.
“You have a beautiful smile. You should smile more often.” She mimicked me. “I can’t believe you said that. What if I’m not me?” I felt hot tears rolling down my cheeks.
“HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO ME JUST NOW? DID YOU KNOW THAT I REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS YOU AND THEN YOU SAY YOU ARE NOT AND THEN I…” I kept on yelling until she came forward and hug me.
“Now I’m back here, by your side right?” Nori said. I hugged her tightly, afraid that she’ll leave me again.
“Please don’t do that again.” I said. She laughed and says “You are still the same old Bakanishi. Now I got my revenge for letting me go for the procedure without letting me know what will happen after that.”
“HEY!”
“You should let her go now or else you’re going to suffocate her.” A voice said. I turn around and saw the others standing and smiling.
“Wow, it’s so touching…I almost cried.” Junno said while holding a camcorder.
“You guys…” I said, finally letting Nori go. But I’m still reluctant to let go of her hand.
“She called us this morning. She wanted to surprise you. That’s why she did not want us to tell you about it.” Ueda said.
“How does she know I’ll be here?” I asked.
“Everyone knows that you would pass by here every morning before you go anywhere.” Kame said. Each of them came forward to hug her and said “Okaeri.*”
“What happened during the past few years?” Nakamaru asked.
“At first, I seriously don’t remember anything about me being in Japan. Justin tried a lot of ways to make me remember but failed. At last, he thought of buying your solo concert. I started remembering when Akanishi sang ‘Love is You’. Of all things, it had to be this one.” Nori said and smiled.
“Then, how is your father?” Kouki asked.
“Justin told you guys about my father?”
“Yea.” Ueda said
“He recovered and he managed to rebuild his company with Justin’s parents’ help. It’s going steady now. He also plans to return to Japan.” Nori said happily.
“Should we call you…what’s your name again?” Kouki asked.
“Taira Misaki. No, it’s okay. I prefer being called Nori by you guys.”
“No. You guys call her Misaki, I’ll call her Nori.” I said.
“Nori is gone for three years and you’re being selfish again. Stop being selfish!” Junno said.
I blushed and everyone laughed I’m so happy that Nori is back. Everything feels so complete now.
“Akanishi, a lot of people have been wondering who you were talking about in your solo concert a few years back when you and the other KAT-TUN members sang ‘Crazy Love’. Could it be your girlfriend?” a reporter asked when we are having a press conference for our new single, ‘Only You~きみだけ~’.
“Oh…” I’m wondering whether I should tell. Everyone in the room has quiet down and anticipating for my answer.
“Is this the same person as the one who sang ‘Love is You’ with you?” a female reporter asked.
“What’s KAT-TUN’s relationship with this person?”
“She’s someone very special to us.” Kame said.
“Akanishi?”
“She is my one and only love” I answered confidently.
