Ick! I'm watching the first episode of the new Skins series, just to give it a try, and it's awful. Someone please tell me that it's not written by the same people who wrote the last two series. I didn't know it was possible to love U2 more than I already did. I feel like my heart might explode. Love for them is oozing, nay, flowing from me. I can hardly stand it.

I think I've made a horrible mistake. It's not London I want to live in, it's the world of the Mighty Boosh! How do I get there? I doubt they have a school of tropical medicine that I could apply to.

Adventures in Cooking, Part II
I was going to make rice this evening. Long, brown rice. I forgot that 10 minute white rice is a novelty. It usually says on the box, "Fast cooking!" Meaning that regular rice does not take a quick 10 minutes. No, it takes 50 minutes. Five, zero. Lesson learned: don't try to make carbonara sauce without the majority of the ingredients (especially without both chicken and bacon). It's edible, sure, but not terribly enjoyable.
