Twas fun, in a way. Supervising is definitely less awesome than just doing it. And supervising a bunch of anthropology majors trying to dig in a straight line was... weird. Today's weather was wonderful for a dig! Sunny but not too warm, cool but not freezing. People kept whining about the workload, the weather, everything

We had a grid, so we drew maps of each square in small boxes on recording sheets. To make sure they were accurate, we'd have them write the date, their name, and mark north in so we could recconcile the maps at the end.
