Anime North 2011 Recap

Jun 03, 2011 20:25

Warning: This entry is very verbose and babbling. I'm still overtired from the past couple weeks, but if I don't write this out now, it'll never happen. Also, large images scattered throughout.

Another year, another Anime North. This year almost didn't happen, but roommates appeared in April and the trip was salvaged.

Cosplay Highlights: Paprika ( Read more... )

random, costume: delphine, costuming, conventions

I know exactly what you mean about both looking down too much (a lot of my dance photos involve me looking at the floor), and time moving differently on-stage and off. I always have to remind myself to SLOW DOWN when onstage as your brain speeds up and it always feels like you must be taking forever/being boring when you're really not. :)

It doesn't help that I get horribly nervous when I'm the main/only focus on a stage. Put me up there with other people as a group/troop and I'm much better at keeping note of the time/audience.

I'm definitely going to set the next thing I do on stage to music so I have that to use as cue at least for how long I need to be up there and where I need to be when.

Thanks for reading though this monstrosity. And I want the chair in your icon. XD

It was great to see you at the con! Again, I looooved your costume~ You pulled it off really well! :D

Thanks for the photo of the Katamari group! A lot of my friends were in that group but I left early on Sunday and didn't get to see them.

Also, kittens! X3 ♥

I'm so very glad you chased me down when you did. At that point I was wondering if this was going to be my first con without a Pan-sighting.

And yay kittens! Luce is such a fluff ball and poses oddly that I need to take pictures. And share them with any- and everyone. (I think some of my friends are tired of me whipping out my camera at events and making them look at kitten pictures.)

Man, your costume came out so nice. Awesome that you joined in the masquerade! Can totally understand being nervous during it and looking at your feet. Not sure how you didn't win something, because every time you make something you just seem to get better and better at that sewing thing.
Really love that yukata! The colours are just so vibrant.. and the orange fish with the blue... just... really really nice.

I hadn't seen your cats before! They look adorable.. and like they'd want a lot of attention XD.

Thanks for the lovely compliments. AN Masquerade is definitely a go big... sewing/tailoring alone isn't going to get me an award... I need to start dying and painting and building for that.

And I keep forgetting that you don't use facebook and therefore haven't been spammed with cat pictures and comments over the past year. And yes, they're needy little attention whores that I love to bits.
