Vacationing: Cancun?

Yesterday, I surfed my way onto Wikipedia and found mention of the Mayan ruins at Uxmal, Chitzen-Itza, and Palenque. I've actually visited Uxmal and Chitzen-Itza before, nearly 25 years ago, and I found myself wondering about going to visit again. Of course, another major destination on the Yucatan peninsula is Cancun -- destination of spring-

A friend of mine just returned from Cancun. Yesterday, actually.
I'll ask her about neat things to do there (besides sipping pina coladas and basking in the rays).

Well, at this point it's more of a "hmmmm, wouldn't it be cool if..." Then again, my Southwest vacation started out the same way. *grin*
