The House that Harry Built

We finally saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It took us a while because of a tradition of ours. That is, before we see the new Harry Potter movie, we watch the entire series so far, in order. Each time the process grows longer, like the House that Jack Built. Or on this case, Harry.

We did something similar this time, but that last one and a half movies had to wait until we'd seen #6; the kids dawdled in the process.

My main observation is that the later books have so much material in them that the movies are just not sufficient vehicles to do it justice.
