So I needed Blaine and Burt in cahoots behind Kurt's back, for Kurt's benefit sooooo... Here's a little something I just typed up. Hope you like! "How's he doing?" Burt asks, for once not being outraged when he walks into his son's bedroom to see said son and said son's boyfriend cuddled up on the bed. Mainly because Kurt had fallen asleep in Blaine's arms, and Blaine was just lying there holding him; comforting Kurt in ways that Burt can't even attempt. He brings them both glasses of water, knowing that they've been upstairs for hours and must be thirsty by now

Kurt crouches down just in time to catch his daughter flying at him. Laughing, "What's what, baby girl? Let me see what's in your hand."

Emily loosens her chubby fists and reveals a small crumpled tinfoil thing? Kurt looks on in confusion.

"It's shiny special, right?"

Kurt's eyes widen in recognition and his heart flutters at the memory of Blaine walking towards him and presenting that Christmas gift with so much reverence and love and thoughtfulness. Kurt presses a kiss to Emily's soft curls, "Yeah baby girl, it's special."
