Chapter 3: A hope which remain as a hope
Ryutaro glance at the house in front of him. How sad his situation now; he can’t do anything besides watching the person he love so much smiling happily with someone else. When he heard a noise coming from behind him, Ryutaro turn back and see Chinen walking out from his car while looking a little shock. Maybe because he aren’t expected that he could bump into Ryutaro in front of his own house.
“Ryu, what’re you doing here?” Chinen asked as he walk closer to him.
Ryutaro smile faintly and turn his head back to look at Chinen house. “Just having a walk around this area and stopped a while to glance at your house.” He answered.
“Don’t tell you still stalking me all this time?” Chinen guessed and received a shrugs from the latter. “So, what’re you doing here? It’s still office hours right.” Ryutaro asked back without turning his head to look at Chinen. It’s hard to face him; so hard…
“I come to take the documents I forgot to bring this morning.”
“Souka… Okay I gotta go, bye.”
Chinen saw Ryutaro walk away. He bites his lower lips; “I won’t forgive you!” He shouted out loud toward Ryutaro. It hurt, it hurt badly for him if each time he remembers back their past.
Ryutaro stopped for a moment when he heard that shout. But then he continue walking, pretending like he didn’t heard anything earlier. “I know…” A faint answer coming from Ryutaro mouth after that.
I know because I can’t forgive myself either…

Ryosuke sigh heavily as he gaze outside to the cloudy sky. It getting darker, a sign raining will greet the neighborhood soon. He hope that it won’t rain too soon. Ryosuke drink his coffee. Today his work finish early than usual resulting him to have some free time before the time he should go pick Yuusuke from his school. Since he don’t have other plan, Ryosuke tend to spend the time with drinking coffee inside a nearby café.
“Hey.”
Ryosuke look up at the person who just greeted him and shocked. It’s Yuto, the latter currently looking at him while smiling. “Hi Yuto.” He greeted him back.
“Can I sit with you here?”
“Su-sure…”
Yuto muttered thank you to Ryosuke and take the chair in front of him and sit there. Ryosuke watch Yuto call the waiter and ordered some ice tea. His eyes won’t leave Yuto face until the time the latter turn his face to look at him. That time, Ryosuke quickly avert his gaze to his side. “What are you doing here?” Ryosuke asked, starting their conversation.
“I live here now.”
“Eh?!” Ryosuke exclaimed as he abruptly turn his face looking at Yuto in shock. “Since when?”
“Recently. Dad want me to take over his company so with moving here, I can easily manage the company since it’s located around this area. I’m still training.” Yuto explained and Ryosuke nodding his head understanding.
“Besides, living here give a chance for me to meet with you; like today. I miss you Ryosuke.” Yuto added as he gaze softly toward Ryosuke. He had said to himself before this when he first time move here, He won’t lie to himself anymore. He’ll fight to have Ryosuke back.
Ryosuke heart sank as he heard that coming from Yuto. If he wasn’t sane now, he definitely will hug the latter and confess what he feels all this time. How he misses Yuto so much and logging to see his face again. But he didn’t say it. Though he had said to Haruna that he will fight to have Yuto back; he still afraid. Afraid of his own decision. “Yuto I…”
“Stop!” Yuto cut his words. “It’s okay Ryosuke, I understand if now you don’t feel like what I feel for you.”
“Oh, okay…” Ryosuke replied.
“Ryosuke do you hate me now?”
“Eh?!” Once again, Ryosuke was shocked with Yuto question. But regarding how serious Yuto is when he asked that question; Ryosuke understand why. “I never hate you.” He answered. He never hate Yuto; I love him. He thought maybe because Yuto realize he’s trying to avoid him before when they finally meet again make him to assume that Ryosuke now hate him.
“Then, do you still love me?”
Oh My God~~ here comes the scariest question ever… Ryosuke start to feel uncomfortable there. It’s embarrassing for him to say that he love Yuto after he had left him for a very long time. It’s a confession! Ryosuke can feel his body suddenly feel so hot and his cheek start to get red. Before Yuto manage to sense his sudden nervousness; Ryosuke quickly answered his question randomly. “Welcome to Miyagi!” Ryosuke shouted. Baka!!!
Yuto blink his eyes few time before burst out laugh. It’s stupid, so stupid and he can’t stop himself from laughing at Ryosuke stupidity. “Ryosuke that’s the stupidest way to change conversations I had ever heard…” Yuto commented, still wanting to laugh but manage to hold it.
Ryosuke gaze annoyingly toward Nakajima Yuto. He know it’s stupid but still, it hurt his pride to see Yuto laughing at him like this. Now he feel so shame and annoying at the same time. “Could you stop laughing? I know it’s stupid and I’m sorry for acting stupid.”
“Okay, okay… I’m sorry because I laugh at you.” Yuto apologize. “But it sure feel nostalgia to laugh like that. It bring back memories, we always like that right, laughing and making fun at each other.”
“Not me, it’s always you who make fun of me.”
“Yeah, I love you see your face hold that irritating façade each time I teased you… you look so cute~”
“Th-thanks… I will take that as a compliment.” Ryosuke replied as his face blushed a little.
“I miss our high school life, do you?”
“Of course I am… my high school life was the best day I had ever have.” Ryosuke said cheerfully.
Yuto giggles. “Hehhhh~ which one? The days with me in it or the days without me?”
“Hmmm…” Ryosuke crossed his hand on his chest as he think. “I love the days we spend together but I love the time I spend without you more!” Ryosuke answered. He answered like that in order to see how Yuto will react to it. And yes, the result was outstanding. Ryosuke get to see Yuto creasing his forehead, looking totally shocked with his answer. This time, Ryosuke is the one laughing.
“Not funny okay… you just hurt my feeling~” Yuto start to pouts and whining.
“Gosh Yuto… how old are you to act like that…”
“I don’t care… I just feel so hurt when you said that you love the time without me more that the time you spend with me.”
“I’m joking alright! Stop sulking… what’re you? A kid?”
“Nope! I’m a handsome young guy who has a feeling and can easily get annoying.” Yuto answered proudly making Ryosuke to chuckles. No matter how much time and years had passes, Yuto is still Yuto.
They realize, how talking to each other had bring so much peace inside their heart. It’s so comfortable to once again able to be friendly like what just happen to them.
Kami-sama… please stop the time and let us be like this forever~
A sad hoping coming from inside the two longing lovebirds. They wish for time to freeze; but they just a mere human. Time still moving and soon, they will walk out from this café and say good bye to each other.
“I love you Ryosuke.” Yuto confessed. “I know, I shouldn’t say like that after I had promised to forget you and move on. But I can’t; I love you so much and it’s hurting me so much because unable to reach and hold your hand.
“I know, we both have our own life now. But please Ryosuke… please accept me back. I can’t live without you. If I can’t have your heart then just let me be by your side. I want to help you…. At least let me help you!” Yuto finally letting out his frustrations all this time.
“You can Yuto…” Ryosuke reach to hold the latter hand which is shocking Yuto so much. “I don’t hate you for broking those promise… because I, myself couldn’t obey that promise anymore.”
“What do you mean?”
Ryosuke smile softly. “I means… Oh no~~!!!!” Before Ryosuke manage to finish his words; his shot his eyes open while turning looking outside the café through the window which already started raining. “Damn! I forgot to pick up Yuusuke!” Ryosuke exclaimed when he turn to glance at his watch. He hurriedly stand up and put the bill on the table. “I paid for you too and gomen Yuto but I need to go now!”
“Wait I can help you!” Yuto run to catch after Ryosuke and manage to stop the latter right on time before he crossed the road. “Get inside my car, we can arrive faster than walking.” Yuto explained and push the latter inside his car.
“Thank you so much!”

Yuusuke sit quietly while holding up his knees at the corridor. Even though that his teacher had asking him to stay inside the class, he did nothing and insist to stay there. He know if he stay inside, he won’t know when his mom or Daiki or Yabu or at least Hikaru come to fetch him up.
One by one, his friends already head home with their family but Yuusuke see no sign of someone he knows come entering the school gate. Since he can’t play outside, he had nothing to do and waiting make him feel so sleepy. After waiting for almost an hour, Yuusuke barely can open his eyes anymore. When he almost fall asleep, Yuusuke see an image of someone so tall together with someone who he recognize as his mother come to fetch him up. Unfortunately, because to sleepy Yuusuke had no time to open his eyes and see who that person is.
“Father…”
Ryosuke glance at his sleeping son on his arm when he heard his voice. It’s so low but still, Ryosuke was smart enough to catch what he just heard. “Yes Yuusuke… today your father come to fetch you up from school.” Ryosuke whispered slowly to Yuusuke and make sure Yuto won’t hear what he just said. He’s not ready to tell Yuto about Yuusuke.
Yuto who was holding Ryosuke umbrella to keep them from getting wet willingly to let himself drenched when he go open the back door for Ryosuke to put the sleeping Yuusuke inside. Then run to the driver seat and get inside his car.
“Tell me your address Ryosuke, I’ll send you two home.” Yuto asked right after he was inside the car.
“It’s okay, just drop us at the restaurant you first time meet us.”
Yuto sigh heavily and clicked his tongue. “Please Ryosuke…” Yuto beg; he really wanted to be helpful for the latter.
“Okay.” Ryosuke answered.
Yuto nodding his head as he muttered thank you and drive away from Yuusuke’s school. It didn’t take much time for Yuto to finally arrive at Ryosuke house. Their house are just a few miles away from Yuusuke school and because of that, Yuto feel a little disappointed since his time with Ryosuke almost reach the end.
Yuto park his car in front of Ryosuke apartment. Rain already stopped so no need for an umbrella. Ryosuke walk out from Yuto car and lift up Yuusuke from the back seat and walk inside, leaving Yuto alone there. Its hurt him so much when Ryosuke walk away without even saying good bye to him. “Yeah, who am I now to him right? I’m just someone from his past, no wonder if he’s ignoring me.” Yuto said and chuckles.
Yuto starting the engine and ready to drive away when suddenly he saw Ryosuke running toward his car from the side mirror. Yuto shut down the car engine and lowering his window. “I thought you don’t wanna say good bye.” He said toward Ryosuke when the latter perfectly standing beside his car.
“Who said that I wanna say good bye.” Ryosuke answered and out of Yuto expected, Ryosuke open the door and pull Yuto out from the driver seat. “Get inside!” He demanded while harshly pull Yuto body toward his apartment.
As soon as Yuto are inside his house, Ryosuke release his grip and leave Yuto to get some towel and change of clothes for the latter. Lucky that he had some of Hikaru shirts that he keep at his cupboard since that best friend of him will sometime spend the night at his house. Yuto definitely can’t wear neither Daiki nor his clothes, so Hikaru clothes was perfect for him. After he get what he needed, Ryosuke dashed back to where he leave Yuto and give the towel and the clothes to him. “Change…” He said. “I’ll wash that shirt for you and while waiting, you can wear this one.”
“Oh, Okay…” Yuto answered faintly as he take the clean clothes from Ryosuke hand. “Where’s the bathroom?”
“There” Ryosuke point his finger to a corner at the end of the room. Yuto nodding his head understanding and hurriedly go change his clothes then give his clothes to Ryosuke to get washed.
Yuto sit quietly at the couch. No one dare to speak and just do whatever they think can distract their mind from thinking about the other person. Yuto had his attention on his phone, doing everything from playing games until texting his friends while Ryosuke stand far from Yuto and busying himself with the laundry.
A question just popped out from his mind and suddenly Ryosuke feel and urge to ask the taller about it. Ryosuke walk toward Yuto direction. “Nee Yuto…” Yuto quickly turn his head toward Ryosuke. “Yes?” He replied.
“How’s you and Chinen-kun now?” Ryosuke asked; yeah, he suddenly remembering the other guy. Yuto supposed to be with him now.
Yuto try to not look unhappy but sadly the sorrow are clearly reflected on his face as he try to crave a tiny smile. “We’re good…” He answered faintly.
“Did he know about this?”
“I did tell him that I’ going to move here.”
“Souka… it’s good then” Ryosuke replied rather normally then walking back to get Yuto clothes. He completely out of words now. He done asking and back doing the laundry. The house when silent once again until Yuto clothes dry and he ready to go home.
“Thanks for sending me home, Yuto.” Ryosuke thanked him when he send the taller to his car.
“Hey umm… when we still at the café, what was actually you wanted to tell me?” Yuto suddenly asked.
Ryosuke shake his head lightly. “No, nothing… I already forgot what I want to say.”
“Oh, okay…” Yuto replied dejectedly. He thought he might heard some hope but no way. He’s hoping for something impossible. How I wish for miracle to happen… Ryosuke, do you still love me?

“Well I’m not blaming you if you’re doubting your own decision. I know how you feel.” Haruna said after Ryosuke told her about his meeting with Yuto yesterday.
“I’m afraid with the result. Yuto might love me but will he give the same amount of love to Yuusuke? If the worst thing happen, I will choose Yuusuke over Yuto.” Ryosuke stated firmly, if this matter happen in the past four year where he’s still Yuto fiancée, he will face a problem either to let Yuto go with Chinen or fight for his feeling. At the end he choose the first option. Now after four years; will Ryosuke be able to choose for the second option? He had Yuusuke, the important among the important person in his life.
“Why don’t you try telling him the true first? Then you can observe what action he’ll take after that.”
Haruna sigh heavily when she saw another doubtful façade from Ryosuke. She stand up from her seat, get ready to leave the restaurant and continue her work. “Think of it carefully okay… I don’t want you live in regret later.” Haruna consoling him while patting Ryosuke shoulder lightly. She pray, she pray that Ryosuke someday soon will be able to hold a non-faked cheerful smile once again.

“Mom, will Dai-papa join us for dinner tonight?” Yuusuke asked as his eyes following each move his mother make. He already sit at the dining table and waiting excitedly for his mom to finish cooking their supper.
“Gomen nee Yuu-chan, I’m not sure if tonight Dai-chan will join us or not. He was so busy with his university assignment.” Ryosuke explained, receiving and light nod from the cute little boy. He wait patiently while sometime playing with the spoon or blowing his own hair which covering his sight. When Yuusuke suddenly heard the doorbell ring, he jump out from his chair and following his mother from behind and go get the door.
“Oh my god~ Dai-chan what had happened to you?! Who did this to you?!” Ryosuke exclaimed in shock as he saw Daiki standing in front of the door with his face covered with bruise. Look like he just receive a hard punch on his face.
Daiki didn’t say anything and just walk inside while grouching. He toss his beg and all his books at the couch before he turn around, facing Ryosuke with an irritated face. “You ask me who did this to me.” Daiki said while his finger pointing to the bruise on his cheek.
“It’s that GUY!”
“Who?” Ryosuke asked confusingly. He knows many guy in this world.
“Of course I mean Yuto!”
“Eh?!”

Their house are just a few miles away from Yuusuke school and because of that, Yuto feel a little disappointed since his time with Ryosuke almost reach the end.
Yuto park his car in front of Ryosuke apartment. Rain already stopped so no need for an umbrella. Ryosuke walk out from Yuto car and lift up Yuusuke from the back seat and walk inside, leaving Yuto alone there. Its hurt him so much when Ryosuke walk away without even saying good bye to him. “Yeah, who am I now to him right? I’m just someone from his past, no wonder if he’s ignoring me.” Yuto said and chuckles.
Yuto starting the engine and ready to drive away when suddenly he saw Ryosuke running toward his car from the side mirror. Yuto shut down the car engine and lowering his window. “I thought you don’t wanna say good bye.” He said toward Ryosuke when the latter perfectly standing beside his car.
“Who said that I wanna say good bye.” Ryosuke answered and out of Yuto expected, Ryosuke open the door and pull Yuto out from the driver seat. “Get inside!” He demanded while harshly pull Yuto body toward his apartment.
As soon as Yuto are inside his house, Ryosuke release his grip and leave Yuto to get some towel and change of clothes for the latter. Lucky that he had some of Hikaru shirts that he keep at his cupboard since that best friend of him will sometime spend the night at his house. Yuto definitely can’t wear neither Daiki nor his clothes, so Hikaru clothes was perfect for him. After he get what he needed, Ryosuke dashed back to where he leave Yuto and give the towel and the clothes to him. “Change…” He said. “I’ll wash that shirt for you and while waiting, you can wear this one.”
“Oh, Okay…” Yuto answered faintly as he take the clean clothes from Ryosuke hand. “Where’s the bathroom?”
“There” Ryosuke point his finger to a corner at the end of the room. Yuto nodding his head understanding and hurriedly go change his clothes then give his clothes to Ryosuke to get washed.
Yuto sit quietly at the couch. No one dare to speak and just do whatever they think can distract their mind from thinking about the other person. Yuto had his attention on his phone, doing everything from playing games until texting his friends while Ryosuke stand far from Yuto and busying himself with the laundry.
A question just popped out from his mind and suddenly Ryosuke feel and urge to ask the taller about it. Ryosuke walk toward Yuto direction. “Nee Yuto…” Yuto quickly turn his head toward Ryosuke. “Yes?” He replied.
“How’s you and Chinen-kun now?” Ryosuke asked; yeah, he suddenly remembering the other guy. Yuto supposed to be with him now.
Yuto try to not look unhappy but sadly the sorrow are clearly reflected on his face as he try to crave a tiny smile. “We’re good…” He answered faintly.
“Did he know about this?”
“I did tell him that I’ going to move here.”
“Souka… it’s good then” Ryosuke replied rather normally then walking back to get Yuto clothes. He completely out of words now. He done asking and back doing the laundry. The house when silent once again until Yuto clothes dry and he ready to go home.
“Thanks for sending me home, Yuto.” Ryosuke thanked him when he send the taller to his car.
“Hey umm… when we still at the café, what was actually you wanted to tell me?” Yuto suddenly asked.
Ryosuke shake his head lightly. “No, nothing… I already forgot what I want to say.”
“Oh, okay…” Yuto replied dejectedly. He thought he might heard some hope but no way. He’s hoping for something impossible. How I wish for miracle to happen… Ryosuke, do you still love me?

“Well I’m not blaming you if you’re doubting your own decision. I know how you feel.” Haruna said after Ryosuke told her about his meeting with Yuto yesterday.
“I’m afraid with the result. Yuto might love me but will he give the same amount of love to Yuusuke? If the worst thing happen, I will choose Yuusuke over Yuto.” Ryosuke stated firmly, if this matter happen in the past four year where he’s still Yuto fiancée, he will face a problem either to let Yuto go with Chinen or fight for his feeling. At the end he choose the first option. Now after four years; will Ryosuke be able to choose for the second option? He had Yuusuke, the important among the important person in his life.
“Why don’t you try telling him the true first? Then you can observe what action he’ll take after that.”
Haruna sigh heavily when she saw another doubtful façade from Ryosuke. She stand up from her seat, get ready to leave the restaurant and continue her work. “Think of it carefully okay… I don’t want you live in regret later.” Haruna consoling him while patting Ryosuke shoulder lightly. She pray, she pray that Ryosuke someday soon will be able to hold a non-faked cheerful smile once again.

“Mom, will Dai-papa join us for dinner tonight?” Yuusuke asked as his eyes following each move his mother make. He already sit at the dining table and waiting excitedly for his mom to finish cooking their supper.
“Gomen nee Yuu-chan, I’m not sure if tonight Dai-chan will join us or not. He was so busy with his university assignment.” Ryosuke explained, receiving and light nod from the cute little boy. He wait patiently while sometime playing with the spoon or blowing his own hair which covering his sight. When Yuusuke suddenly heard the doorbell ring, he jump out from his chair and following his mother from behind and go get the door.
“Oh my god~ Dai-chan what had happened to you?! Who did this to you?!” Ryosuke exclaimed in shock as he saw Daiki standing in front of the door with his face covered with bruise. Look like he just receive a hard punch on his face.
Daiki didn’t say anything and just walk inside while grouching. He toss his beg and all his books at the couch before he turn around, facing Ryosuke with an irritated face. “You ask me who did this to me.” Daiki said while his finger pointing to the bruise on his cheek.
“It’s that GUY!”
“Who?” Ryosuke asked confusingly. He knows many guy in this world.
“Of course I mean Yuto!”
“Eh?!”

oh well, how the story goes on depend on how stressed am I; if I face less then it might come out good and vice versa... and for this one; I'm struggling to finish it along my two important assignment.
