Thanks for the lovely comment! I adored Elizabeth from the first, and I'm sad she's leaving. I adore Sam as well, but Elizabeth has a unique quality to her that I liked as leader of Atlantis.

By the way, thanks for letting me know how you got here. I didn't even know stargategenrec existed! Have checked it out and found it interesting. :)

I read off of stargateficrec mostly, since I'm into the fanfic more than anything else. You might try it; it has some wonderful variety of genre, characters, pairings, and writing style. I read mostly Jack/Daniel and SG-1 teamfic now, but there's plenty of McShep (my SGA OTP) and other pairings as well.

I love the idea of her wearing low shoes so people start out underestimating her. Well done. :)

Glad you liked the last line; it was basically the genesis of the story. ;) I was always amused by how everyone is taller than Weir is (despite her not exactly being *short*), and I figured that she might have learned to use that to her advantage along the way. :D
