Yup, today is day six.  The sun is shining and the wind is blowing and there is a car out there that needs me to dig it out. Hopefully there will be some good digging today so that the metro is back up Friday. Hard to say though, there is a lot of snow. Chillin' in my plaid, flannel jammie pants after a nice, snowy day. Had an iron chef brunch with the girls, at least those willing to brave the snow. Fried chicken, biscuits, pumpkin bread, cheesy grits, country fried potatoes and "chocolate stuff."  Lots of yummy food.  Played Beatles Rock Band all afternoon.  Now I am working with my photos.  I  ( Read more... )

This weekend thing.  Slept in both days, by locking the cats out of my room. Saturday I went out to lunch with 7500centfish and Dana to The Burger Joint in Old Town.  The burger were good, no that amazing, but good. After a couple of very long weeks, an adjustment to nine hour days and an earlier wake up time, it is finally the weekend. And what's this?  I don't have to work!  I honestly haven't had a weekend off since before I was in grad school. I forget what "normal" means.

Having a peaceful weekend.  The house is largely very clean, except 7500centfish 's room ,which is in transition, again. Need to get rid of the desk so it can be replaced with a very large keyboard. The mac is now in the livingroom on a small dresser which will, eventually, house many of her electronics.

It's very quiet morning here at the museum, not complaining. Early Janurary is quiet in general, not much going on, holidays are over.  I have plenty to do, I guess that I just don't want to do it. Should be working out more, but I get bored so easily. I need to find another yoga class, but transportation, time and expense are an issue ( Read more... )

Thought about doing a year in review post, but I think I should ease myself back into LJ slowly. And forget about a decade in review, ekk.

2010 is just getting started and it looks to be exciting.  I have a lot of high hopes, some exciting things on the horizon and I'm sure some things I can't even foresee.
