but Max has slept from 9 pm until 5:30-6am THREE nights in a row.  The first night, JBB was on night duty for the feeding, and I thought I jsut slept through his crying.  The second night, I was on night duty, and JBB thought he just slept through his crying.  Last night, JBB was on night duty, and thought that I'd just taken one for the team and ( Read more... )

Oh wow. congratulations!

I think Mathilda would sleep 6 hours straight if we would let her, but we are still on orders to wake her up after 5 if she doesn't wake herself (due to the prematurity). BUT now she goes down around 10, wakes once around 3, and then wakes for the day around 7. One night time waking isn't bad - we are counting our blessings!

I'm a little shocked still. for a while he was doing a schedule similar to Mathihlda's, which I was just fine with too. One waking a night is awesome! I hope if there is a backslide, it'll be to that.

That's something to celebrate! Even if he does change his mind, take the three night victory! Have a beer!

FINGERS CROSSED FOR YOU.

It's still an occassion worth marking if Miette sleeps through the night. Miette is TWO.

seriously, I am still shocked it happened more than once. that alone is a total score.

I'm hoping he got my sleep genes, since, while I've always hated waking up and am a total crankface in the morning, I sleep good and hard and always have.

WOW!! I hope it keeps up! Viv still rarely sleeps through the night and never goes to bed before 10 pm.

jonathan read something about the earlier bedtimes being more conducive to longer sleep, but I have no idea if that's crap or not.

for a while we were trying to get max to go down at 6:30-7, but he didn't like that and was hitting 8:30-9 pretty consistently, so we go with that.

I read that too! Unfortunately Vivian didn't, because when we put her to bed earlier she just got up 5 or 6 times a night instead of the 1 or 2 we get when she goes to bed later. Heh heh. I think it is true for a lot of babies though.
