It started with Marlin letting us out at about 1:00 on Friday, a good 1/2 hour after it was really too late to be worth letting us out early.  It had been snowing heavily for a while and the roads were already bad.  I chose to stay and work for a few more hours, hoping that by 4:00ish, all the idiots would be off the road, either because they would

Isn't Providence great? Which restaurant did you go to downtown? :-)

Providence is interesting. At one point, the GPS told me to turn down a street and in any other town, I would have called it an alley. But it had a street sign and we saw many such "streets", so I guess it was ok.

The restaurant, Aspire, was attached to the hotel.

Ah, Aspire is new, but I've heard pretty good things about it. Of course, Providence has so many good restaurants that it's hard to go wrong! I should share my restaurant spread sheet with you sometime if you're ever coming back to Providence. :-)

I would stay in that hotel again in a heartbeat. The service was amazing. The people were so friendly. The bed was the best I've ever slept in. I'd stay there for that alone. The restaurant had good service, good food and great atmosphere.

I'll let you know if I ever have more notice that I'll be staying in Providence. Maybe next time I'll actually see whatever I have tickets for.
