i think you both should just try to talk this out in person. i completely understand both of you. you both have your different views. but making eachother feel like shit, isn't the solution. i don't mean to be nosy or nothing, im just trying to help you both out. you've been through a lot and im sure you can get through this. and i don't believe its betrayal.. that person just doesnt know what else to do. its hard for them because they care so much about you.
wow. im kinda in that boat right now. and i totally understand everything you've said, do you think this theory also goes for bf/gf relationships? i mean i just want whats best for the person, does it come out as me trying to control their life by using my values? idk. my values and his values are different. what i think is wrong, he think its ok. I tell him how i feel but if he decides not to change, should i change? its a good topic. maybe when you get a chance you can elaborate it for me, coz i really need help.

What if your friend is making a change, or un-intentionally changing; and its a self-destructive change. You try to help them but they assume that the choice is best for them. Do you force them to stay the same, or stay content with the change hoping for the best.
