So as we remember from last week, I was back up to 150.2 lbs, which was super depressing and disappointing. This week, I got back into the swing of working out and eating properly, so this morning...

Having almost reached my first goal, I think it's really helpful. It's something else to look forward to (besides obviously, being healthier :P)
It's pretty basic psychology, and I'm sure you already know this, but positive reinforcement is the best way to condition behavior.

For me I'm trying to lose 50 pounds, and it's a pretty big number. Thus I split it up into 10 pounds, I don't have the money to do it every 5 pounds, and I think there will be so many that it wouldn't be beneficial to me. I think because your goal is a smaller number, it would be acceptable to do them at 5 pounds. But it's all about what you're most comfortable with :)
