Monthly update

I can hardly believe it is May already, though the coming spring is certainly welcome. Just about a year ago I got pregnant. It seems so much longer, so much has changed since then. Or really only one thing has changed, but it's such a doozy that our lives just feel different.

This class I am taking this quarter is a basic linguistics class. We studied the acquisition of language and I kept thinking you might find much of the class very interesting with a new baby. Particularly this site is interesting: http://www.vocaldevelopment.com/ (click on the development section). I might even photocopy and send some of my notes if you are as much of a dork as I am and want to know more (in plain english too).

I laughed at this because Caleb's newborn clothes have been packed up for quite some time. He is now outgrowing his 3-6 month clothes and moving on to the 6-9 month clothes.

Caleb has come to class with me now - he slept through the whole thing. He is also generally a happy baby, especially when I'm around. He tends to fuss more for other people. I'm not sure if that is because he associates me with food and therefore comfort or because I'm better at reading his noises or what, but it is somewhat gratifying. Looking forward to seeing you!
